Forgotten Road Ales is husband and wife, Certified Cicerone owned and operated craft brewery that opened in May of 2019. Our brewery and taproom, along with our beautiful beer garden, are located in the awesome little city of Graham, NC, in the heart of the state. We specialize in barrel aged beers, wilds and sours, and New England IPAs.

Our military inspired brand is drawn from Ben’s service in the Marine Corps. The “Forgotten Road” pays homage to the journey many vets take after they return from deployment. It’s not enough for us to brew good beer. We have to do good, too. You’ll typically find at least one beer on our menu that gives back to veterans organizations or our community. We’re proud to call this place home. And we’re honored that others have come to call this place “home”, too.

It all began about 10 years ago in a kitchen. Sam, a PhD chemist by day, bought himself a homebrew kit and started experimenting.

The only rules were to have fun, make something tasty, and clean up afterwards. As he got deeper into the hobby, Sam

started bringing his brew to social events to share with friends, and soon developed a reputation as an accomplished brewer.

Born in the heart of Salisbury, New Sarum Brewing derives its name from the original settlement name of Salisbury's Sister City, "Old Sarum" England.  Our company is based on a basic principle, creating great craft beer.  Each recipe begins with a study of an individual style of beer, searching history for proved and tested methods of creating the foundation.  New Sarum uses this to find new ways of developing each beer's unique flavor.

Here at the brewery we are operating on a 30-barrel production facility, a 4-barrel pilot system with 660 barrels of fermentation space and our own state of the art canning line..
